2016 Landlord Survey Results


Each year we approach all of our landlord and tenants asking for feedback so that we can continue to evolve and provide the best possible service to meet the needs of our clients. This year 102 of our landlords completed the survey.


Q 1. Overall, how would you rate our customer service?

99% of our landlord are satisfied with the level of customer service that they receive; 98% of our landlords rate our customer service as being either excellent or very good.

Q 2. Would you recommend Clan Gordon?

99% of our landlords would recommend our services.

Clan Gordon is looking after a property owned by my son while he is in Australia and have proved themselves to be the consummate letting agent. They found a good and responsible tenant quickly and always deal with any maintenance issues effectively and efficiently. They are easy to get hold of, always call back if requested to do so and have offered good advice to my son on all matters from landlord registration to income issues. Q 3. How would you rate Clan Gordon regarding value for money in terms of service?

100% of landlords are satisfied that they get value for money in the service that they receive from Clan Gordon. 35% of landlords believe they get ‘excellent’ value for money, and 56% ‘very good’.



Q 4. How would you rate our staff in terms of their industry knowledge?

100% of landlords are satisfied with the level of industry knowledge demonstrated by our staff. 51% agreed that our industry knowledge is excellent, and 42% said ‘very good’.

Q 5. Are you satisfied that the level of rent achieved for your property is accurate in the current market?

97% of landlords are satisfied that their property is achieving the correct level of rent in the current market – 63% of landlord are very satisfied with the level of rent that they achieve each month. As a firm of Chartered Surveyors we pride ourselves on our ability to provide an accurate valuation of rental income using local comparative data.


Q. 6 How important is it to you to use a regulated agent?

We are now regulated by both RICS and ARLA, meaning that we comply to strict industry guidelines.

97% of our landlords stated that it is important to them to use a regulated agent, of these 60% said it was ‘very important’.

Q 7. How would you rate our level of communication?

99% of landlords were found to be satisfied with our level of communication – 60% rated our level of communication as ‘excellent’ and 35% as ‘very good’.

Q 8. How satisfied are you that we provide value for money in terms of dealing with maintenance issues?

99% of landlords are satisfied that we provide value for money when dealing with maintenance issues on their behalf. 47% of landlords are ‘very satisfied’ that they receive value for money.
